Privacy

LocalTextCompare is designed so selected workspace data does not need to leave the browser.

• Selected file contents are processed locally.
• Search terms remain local to the application session.
• Selected filenames and virtual paths remain local.
• No account is required.
• Workspace files are not stored remotely by this application.
• Workspace data is not used for model training by this static application.

Local storage

The default workspace is ephemeral. The application persists only interface preferences such as theme. It does not intentionally persist filenames, file text, archive data, search history or result snippets.

URLs

Search queries, filenames, paths, comparison text and archive passwords are not placed into shareable URLs.

Analytics

No analytics library is bundled in this build.
